Jackson School is a Montessori early childhood program and a growth-centered elementary school, serving children from Kindergarten through Grade 6.
Jackson Elementary is split into two, a lower and upper school. The lower school is for children in grades 1-3 and the upper is for children in grades 4-6. And some of the children move up from Walnut Park, which is the early childhood program portion of Jackson School that offers a three-year primary program that includes a kindergarten year before moving on to Grade 1 at Jackson Elementary.
Located on a historic campus in Newton close to the Massachusetts Turnpike and Washington Street, the school straddles Nonantum and West Newton. The school is accessible via public transportation from the 553, 554, 556 or 558 buses, all of which stop about a quarter of a mile from the school on Washington Street.
Jackson School is a member of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA).
