Countryside Elementary School is one of the two Newton elementary schools located on the south side of Route 9. Spaulding School is the other.

Countryside is home to some 368 students from the village of Newton Upper Falls. There are some students from Oak Hill village too.

In addition to Route 9, the school is close to Needham Street, which features retail shops and restaurants including Landry’s Bicycles, B-GOOD, Home Goods, and more.

Countryside School is currently a two-story building. However, a new school is being built on the field adjacent to the existing building and it is expected to be done by January, 2027. Watch a 3-D virtual video tour of one conceptual site and building design options.

The Countryside School district features some pretty residential streets with beautiful homes ranging in size and price. Most are single-family residences.

The nearest MBTA T station is the Green Line, Newton Highlands D-Line stop, just under a mile away.
