Washington Square Academy was born during the pandemic. It's a small school that started in Washington Square in Brookline, and moved to Wells Ave in Newton in 2025. The school serves students in 4th through 9th grade.
Washington Square Academy offers an honors curriculum to its students with a focus on STEM, Writing, and Executive Functioning skills.
The school offers quiet testing pods, two full kitchens, a library lounge, and a YMCA membership for each student!
Washington Square Academy is located in the Oak Hill neighborhood, close to the Newton JCC, Charles River Country Club, and Excel Gymnastics to name a few. The area is much quieter than the school's former home in Washington Square, Brookline.
