The Park School is a Pre-K through 8th grade elementary school that serves some 562 students. Park is located on a pretty, windy road in South Brookline not far from The Country Club, Allandale Farm, Jamaica Pond, Larz Anderson Park, Hellenic College, and The Dexter Southfield School.
The school’s 34-acre campus is across the street from Larz Anderson Park, a popular sledding area in the winter that also features an outdoor ice-skating rink. Park School is surrounded by trees and athletic fields, including a new turf field that opened in 2022 and is mainly used for soccer, lacrosse and field hockey.
Children from over 50 zip codes and 30 communities attend the school, which is renowned for its theater and drama program. In addition, every Pre-K through 6th grade student participates in a STEM class.
The school touts a 7 to 1 average student to teacher ratio.
Park is not easily accessible by public transportation but the school does provide bus service to and from school for an additional annual fee.
Real estate in the Park School area is a mix of beautiful, single-family homes, and more modest ones off of Lee Street situated in a quiet neighborhood.
In the summer, Park opens its secluded pool at the back of the campus and operates as a day camp.
