BEEP is a preschool program run and administered by the Town of Brookline. It offers an educational experience featuring a variety of educational materials and equipment to children between the ages of 2.9 and 5 years old.
BEEP Preschools serve children 2.9 – 3.2 years of age for one year. The following year they attend Pre-K for one or two years before kindergarten.
The school day is Monday-Thursday from 8 AM - 2:30 PM, Friday from 8 AM - 1:40 PM, and is offered in seven locations throughout Brookline including four of the Town’s elementary schools (Driscoll, Hayes, Florida Ruffin Ridley and Runkle).
Extended Day is available in three of the seven locations (Beacon, Driscoll and Hayes). Extended day programs are managed and run by three different private non-profit organizations. Neither the Florida Ruffin Ridley School or Runkle School offer Extended Day and both of those schools only house the Pre-K program. Of the four elementary schools, only Driscoll offers both Preschool and Pre-K classes but that can change from year-to-year.
BEEP serves more than 300 families across town.
